Accessibility

The Child Protection Company is committed to delivering accessible content to every user. Below, you will find information on how you can utilise the features on your web browser to make our site easier to read.

Recommended Browser: Google Chrome (Click to download)

For best results, we recommend that you use Google Chrome to view our website. If it is not already installed on our computer or device, clicking the link above will take you to the official web page where you will find the option to download the browser.

Enabling High Contrast

Our website is compatible with the High Contrast extension available to download free for Google Chrome. Enabling High Contrast allows people who have difficulty reading text on a white background to invert the colours on our website to make reading easier.

To install the High Contrast extension for Google Chrome, visit the Chrome Web Store and search for High Contrast. Then, follow these instructions to install:

  1. Click Add to Chrome after selecting the High Contrast extension
  2. When a pop-up box appears, select Add extension
  3. A new icon should appear in the top right-hand corner of your browser, beside the search bar and Menu button - clicking on this will enable you to toggle the colour options within your browser

Adjusting Text Size

To adjust the text size for your current page, follow these instructions:

  1. Open up Google Chrome on your computer
  2. In the top right-hand corner, beside the search bar, click on the Menu button (this will appear as 3 dots)

  2. In the top right-hand corner, beside the search bar, click on the Menu button (this will appear as 3 dots)

Listen to Our Website

You can download text-to-speech screen reading software from a variety of hosts. You can search Google for options to purchase a screen reading software, or try a free package like that available from NVDA.

For a solution that doesn't involve installing software on your PC, you can also utilise Windows Narrator on Windows 10 PCs.
