Safeguarding Training for Schools

Everyone who works in a school needs safeguarding and child protection training, whatever their role. Under the latest statutory guidance Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSiE), which came into force in its 2026 form on 1 September 2026, all staff need training at induction and updates at least once a year, and must read Part One of the guidance in full. Designated safeguarding leads (DSLs) and their deputies need further training at least every two years.

Our online Safeguarding in Education course is the simplest way to train your whole school staff team. It covers child protection, online safety and the Prevent duty in one course, and is written for teachers, admin staff, governors, leaders and managers. Staff who have already completed the full course with us can take a shorter refresher to review key knowledge and catch up on the latest statutory updates, which our customer support team can arrange.

Schools also need to go beyond induction training.
