Our face-to-face safeguarding training is available throughout Newcastle and the surrounding towns, including Sunderland, Middlesbrough and Durham. Each course is designed for professionals and volunteers who work directly or indirectly with children and young people.
We also offer in-person Newcastle Safeguarding Adults training designed for organisations that work solely with adults at-risk (for more information see our online Safeguarding Adults training).
Our experienced trainers can also deliver more advanced safeguarding content, as outlined in our online Designated Lead Training (DSL) course.
If you need safeguarding training, we can provide a session tailored to your staff's roles and responsibilities, either virtually via live video conferencing or in the comfort of your workplace.

FAQs - Newcastle Safeguarding Training
The Newcastle Safeguarding Children Partnership (NSCP) is the agency that ensures that organisations work together effectively to safeguard children and young people. It is jointly led by Newcastle City Council, Northumbria Police, and the NHS Integrated Care Board and focuses on developing procedures, sharing learning and improving outcomes for children at risk.
The Newcastle Safeguarding Adults Board (NSAB) is responsible for protecting adults with care and support needs from abuse and neglect. It brings together local authorities, NHS services, police and the voluntary sector to develop policies, provide training and oversee safeguarding practices across the city.
Absolutely. All our in-person safeguarding trainers ensure that our courses are compliant with current UK safeguarding regulations and incorporate up-to-date relevant statutory guidance and regional safeguarding procedures, including those promoted by the NSAB and NSCP.
