The ChildProtectionCompany.com offers a range of online child protection (and adult safeguarding) training courses which have been specifically written for people who work or volunteer within dental practices. Developed by our in-house child protection experts, they are in line with the latest government guidance including Working Together to Safeguard Children 2013 and and fulfil the safeguarding outcomes as specified by CQC**. All of the online training courses for Dentists have been approved as meeting the educational criteria required for verifiable Continuing Professional Development under the General Dental Council Lifelong Learning scheme and each represents 3 hours of verifiable CPD. Dentists simply need to input their GDC number at the start of the course and once they have successfully passed the final assessment, a personalised certificate is issued complete with name, GDC number and verification of the CPD hours. All certificates are valid for two years. Our learning management system has been built to solve the problem of maintaining central records for all child protection training and ensuring that everyone's training is current and up to date. If CQC want to inspect your records, simply use our website to display a full record of staff training certificates. When training needs to be refreshed, we'll also remind you too! The training can be taken at any time of day and started and stopped as needed. The final assessment, which tests understanding and provides evidence of learning, can be retaken free of charge until the pass mark of 70% or above is achieved. Further Child Protection. Specifically developed for the named professional and deputy within a dental practice, who have already completed an Introduction To Child Protection course. It covers child protection policies and procedures, identifying concerns, handling allegations and complaints and how and when to make referrals.
Introduction To Adult/Child Protection. A general combined adult/child safeguarding course specifically designed for dental staff who come into contact with children and vulnerable adults. It covers legislation and guidance, the different types of abuse and your responsibilities with regard to reporting concerns.
Further Adult/Child Protection. A combined adult/child safeguarding course specifically developed for the nominated safeguarding lead and deputy within a dental practice, who have already completed introduction training. It is also suitable for anyone wishing to cover the topic in more depth. It covers safeguarding policies and procedures, identifying concerns, handling allegations and complaints and how and when to make referrals.
