Ofsted have published a press release confirming the upcoming changes to inspections.

Short Inspections: From September, Ofsted will be conducting short inspections. Good schools and FE providers will be inspected once every three years, with inspections typically lasting one day.  The inspections will work on the premise that the institutions are still good and will gauge whether their standards are being upheld.
