A recent article in The Telegraph has explored the difficulties that parents face when trying to punish their children by sending them to their bedroom due to the rise of social media.
Sites such as Twitter and Facebook are increasingly being used by disgruntled children to broadcast the details of their disagreements with their parents. President of the Girls’ Schools Association, Alice Phillips, has been quoted as saying that social media puts family rows under ‘global scrutiny’. It tended to be teenage girls who wanted to continue family rows online.
