Coercive or Controlling Behaviour

On 29 December 2015, The Home Office and Karen Bradley MP released information stating that victims of coercive or controlling behaviour will now be better protected under a new offence.

The new coercive or controlling behaviour offence means that victims who experience the type of behaviour that stops short of serious physical violence, but amounts to extreme psychological and emotional abuse, can bring their perpetrators to justice.
