Would a ‘daily stillness period’ help students?

Master of Wellington College, Sir Anthony Seldon has claimed that too many youngsters are growing up in a ‘moral vacuum’, which could leave them at risk of developing mental health issues.

Seldon believes that the happiness and well-being of students should the timetable day is given over to a ‘daily stillness period’. During this time, students could learn how to concentrate, perhaps through the use of meditation techniques, which ultimately could prevent metal health issues from developing later.
