Haringey Council have launched a new Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH).  It intends to co-ordinate actions by the council’s social services teams, health professionals and the police by having members of each agency working together in the same office.

Tim Laughton MP, the under secretary for children and families, helped launch the new scheme last week.

He said: “Our reforms to child protection are about promoting preventative services so that families get help before problems escalate. This will help tackle abuse and neglect.”
