The Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years (Pacey) has announced that it is no longer continuing to be part of the government funded project to train unemployed parents to become childminders. Pacey were going to partner with Barnardo’s to deliver the two year project but pacey have released a statement saying “We could not agree some of the project criteria with Department of Education.”

The project is still planned to continue with Barnardo’s training 800 parents to become registered childminders through learning and development programmes and access to mentoring and peer support.   (Source: CYP)
