British police learn from Dutch police

BBC Inside Out (Yorkshire and Lincolnshire) last night broadcast a programme detailing how British police officers have travelled to Holland to see how the problem of child protection was being tackled and what lessons can be learned in the UK.  The programme looked into the integrated approach taken by Dutch social services and the Mosques of Amsterdam to protect children and young people from grooming.

Since the visits, some British police forces and social service departments have dedicated more staff and introduced more training on the matter of child protection.

The programme in full is available on BBC iPlayer.
